Explanation[edit | edit source]
This strip reverses the panel order of the original strip and changes the dialogue to accommodate the new order. In the original strip, Garfield is wearing shades because the light from his birthday candles is so bright. The reversed panel order and dialogue now make it look like Garfield somehow managed to make the cake and Jon vanish into thin air, with the sunglasses given no explanation.
