Explanation[edit | edit source]
This strip shuffles some of Garfield's dialogue in the second panel to make it more confusing. His second panel dialogue was originally "Oh well, I should be happy to have a birthday, I guess". Here, the words "be happy" and "have a birthday" are swapped. In the author's notes, the author admitted to finding the original dialogue weird enough as it was.

I always found the wording of this strip to be weird in its original form, so I changed it around to make it even weirder.
