Explanation[edit | edit source]

This comic has two jokes: its title is an easy pun on Garfield Minus Garfield, and it fits the original strip's dialogue - if the world is, indeed, constantly changing, then what's stopping Garfield from changing into Linus from Peanuts?

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

Original strip: 2001-11-28.

Transcript[edit | edit source]

Jon: {reading newspaper while Garfield sits nearby} The world is constantly changing.

{Garfield is replaced by Linus from Peanuts.}

Garfield: {reappearing} They haven't stopped making frozen pudding pops, have they?

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • This was the first in the soon-to-be-notorious "Garfield [something that sounds like "minus"] Garfield" series (AKA "pudding pops").
