Explanation[edit | edit source]

Since this strip's debut, Kevin Lasagna has since been loaned to Hellas Verona, transferred to that team outright, loaned to Turkish side Fatih Karagümrük, and as of this writing is on loan to Bari; the workings of the loan to Bari include an option for it to become an outright transfer if certain conditions are met, much like how he eventually transferred to Hellas Verona.

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

Yes, Italian association football team Udinese have a striker called Kevin Lasagna.

He scores whenever he's pasta ball.

He got angry and scythed down an opponent inside the box with a vicious two-footer. He lost his ragu and it was a clear pennelty.

He's introduced a more physical, attacking style of play to football broadcasting. Tacklier telly.

Etc.

Original strip: 1981-08-02.
