Explanation[edit | edit source]
The author has edited three original Garfield strips and made it into Garfield being depressed.
In the first Garfield comic, Jon saw a mouse, then he looks at Garfield, angrily, telling him that cats are supposed to chase mice. Garfield, sitting on Jon's lap, being depressed, wants Jon to learn more about cats. Jon gets annoyed.
Then, in the second Garfield comic, Jon happily asks Garfield what he would like for breakfast. Garfield, depressed, wants a cup of coffee, a Danish, and the newspaper. Jon gives him a warm bowl of milk instead of that. Garfield, slightly angry, says that these people don't give cats any credit.
Finally, in the third Garfield comic, Garfield gets depressed even more, by getting near a seat than can recline using a lever. Then, Jon horribly watches, as Garfield completed a suicide attempt.
The author writes:[edit | edit source]
We all know how Garfield is depressed in most strips, but what if it was taken up to eleven? Welcome to Depressedfield.
---
I submitted this 3 minutes after the first Depressedfield. I'm way too fast.
---
After 2 strips of depression, Garfield has had enough. Don't expect anymore Depressedfield strips from me - Garfield is dead. I know this one is a bit gory, but trust me, this is nowhere near as gory as the Zalgo Garfield strips.
Original strips: 1995-04-17, 1979-01-02, 1998-11-06, 1989-02-11.
