Explanation[edit | edit source]

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

We all know Odie isn't smart enough to answer questions, either with the long 'Good dog/bad dog' answer or even the correct 'Two'. Therefore I present to you Odie's TRUE answer. I think Garfield's expression fits better here too.

Of course it's also possible that Odie is in fact a deep thinker and that his original answer was emblematic of something more profound. Truly are there not only two kinds of people, those who do good and those who do bad? In that case I present to you another possible answer Odie may have given, one that links to the first shown here.

One that which asks 'What is the meaning of "kind"?' Are we not all the same, where it matters? Is there not just one 'kind' of person? Is not everything else mere detail or belief? In that case Odie might question the question itself. By 'kind' does not the asker mean 'denomination'?
