Explanation[edit | edit source]

The author's attempt to create a "Garfield Mystery Dungeon" trend appears to have failed; no strip to date has followed up on it. The author also apparently failed to realize that not all dungeons in Mystery Dungeon games are below-ground and thus floors would not always be denoted as "B<floor>F"; using the first Pokémon Mystery Dungeon as an example, the game's third dungeon, Mt. Steel, is not below-ground and thus its floors go from 1F to 9F without any sort of basement denotation.

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

Proooobably no need to explain this to Pokémon fans, but for the rest of you, there's the title.

P.S. I want to make this into a trend. Please post strips with the title format: Garfield Mystery Dungeon B<number of strip in theme, DMM* will decide>F: <title>

*[Or me, I suppose. -Ed]

Original strip: 1999-03-07.

Transcript[edit | edit source]

{Jon writes on a food bowl}
{In a strange twist of fate, Garfield and Odie have become a Plusle and a Minun}
Jon {showing the 4th wall he's written 'Plusle and Minun' on the bowl}: It's time the boys learn to share
Jon {walking away}: Dinner!
{Garfield and Odie both run towards the bowl and smack into each other}
SFX: POW!
Garfield {to Jon, him and Odie have both become Pichu (note NO plural)}: May we have a word with you?

Trivia[edit | edit source]

This strip's author's notes were hit by a mojibake error in a later site recoding effort; the original author's notes are currently lost to the public due to this.
