Being the world's biggest Sonic The Hedgehog fan, I wanted to do something Sonic-related. I would have put Sonic himself in somewhere, but Garfield has never had much interaction with other caustic animals, leaving little material for a Sonic appearance. Garfield does, however, live with someone apparently rather interested in world domination.

Dr. Eggman: If I ruled the world, do you know what I would do?
Garfield: I know what I would do.
Dr. Eggman: I would make all people live in harmony.
Garfield: I would eat lasagna till it came out my nose.
Dr. Eggman: By turning them into vicious robots under my command!
Garfield: And dogs would be outlawed!
