Explanation[edit | edit source]
The author writes:[edit | edit source]
I had a different idea in mind, but I decided to scale it back as to not start anything.
What can I say? I felt sentimental.
Original strip: 1988-11-14.
Transcript[edit | edit source]
{Garfield walks past a mirror}
{He stops, realizing his reflection has become Snoopy's}
Garfield {to the Audience}: Oh no, I sold out
{He then becomes a phone, because Garfield doesn't get to disrespect Peanuts in such a manner}
{And, you know, Garfield has sold out worse}
{Cough}
Trivia[edit | edit source]
The "in such a manner}" of the third-to-last line was originally omitted from the transcript, with the second-to-last line merging into the rest of the prior line and the final two lines being unintentionally italicised, due to a coding error; this has since been fixed.
