Explanation[edit | edit source]

The author's notes reference the fact that, at the time, the GoComics archive did not colorize the original Garfield strip; GoComics has since colorized the strip, albeit in a vastly different fashion from how the former garfield.com site did. A more detailed explanation about the colorization differences can be seen in the explanation for 5399: Color me Garfield.

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

Based on the blender, plunger and paper incidents, Jon should not be allowed near glue. By now Garfield is truly use to these antics.

Oh, and why is the comic in black and white? I can only guess because the automated program to colourise daily Garfield strips doesn't know about Leap Days.

Original strips: 1990-08-15, 1996-02-29.

Transcript[edit | edit source]

{Jon has a telephone receiver attached to his ear. Garfield looks on in boredom}
{No change}
{Jon is about to speak as Garfield interrupts}
Garfield: Hold it, don't tell me, let me guess what you did.
