Explanation[edit | edit source]

In the original Garfield comic, Jon calls Garfield an attack cat and he wants Garfield to kill the dummy beside him. Jon shouts out "KILL!" and raises his hand to the ceiling up high. Then in the third panel, Jon has been beaten up and scratched by Garfield but doesn't die in the original Garfield comic because he was the wrong dummy

However, in this edit, he does die in this edit and the gravestone reads "Jon Arbuckle - RIP - Wrong Dummy."

The author writes[edit | edit source]

Guess Jon should've been more specific.

Original strip: 1980-07-24, 1982-10-28.
