Explanation[edit | edit source]

Sushie is a Cheep-Cheep from Paper Mario. According to the Super Mario Wiki, Sushie is Mario's seventh party member. She is resided in Yoshi's Village in Lavalava Island. However, according to the Yoshi children, she is very bossy. Her name is based on the famous Japanese dish. The author likes Sushie from the Mario universe, and of all the minor characters in the Mario universe, Sushie is one of his favourites. Seeing the original strip where Jon brings Garfield a goldfish came to mind. Now Jon has a Cheep-Cheep, who wants to be named. Garfield picked the name "Sushie" for a purple Cheep-Cheep.

The title says that he'll find someone that is not going Cheep-Cheep in the sales. The reason why he thought of that title is that he will find someone who is not selling a fish in the aquarium or the water or something.

There is also a minor enemy called Sushi, but it doesn't look cute. Know why? Cause it's a shark from Mario Party 9.

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

Of all the minor characters from the Mario universe, Sushie is one of my favourites. Seeing the original strip this immediately came to mind.

And yes, there is a minor enemy in Mario games called Sushi but it's not as cute.

Original strip: 1985-04-15.
