Explanation[edit | edit source]

In the original, Garfield's shaking switched the clock's "TICK TICK TICK" to "TOCK TOCK TOCK". Here it switches to "KACHI KACHI KACHI", the Japanese onomatopoeia for ticking. In both cases, Garfield doesn't seem to consider it an improvement.

The title is a play on the phrase "catch-as-catch-can", meaning "only when possible or when the opportunity presents itself".
