Explanation[edit | edit source]

In the original strip, Garfield pulled several impressions with the help of soap suds; this one-panel strip is taken from the final panel of that strip. For it, the image of Garfield doing an impression of President Jimmy Carter (?) is replaced with an image of James A. Garfield, the president after whom the man Garfield was named for was named.
