Explanation[edit | edit source]

In the original Garfield strip, Jon and Garfield were shocked to see a waiter, but not Irma cause she's on vacation. Jon asks the waiter if he will be cooking their food, but the waiter says no. Jon and Garfield will have the "Spanish Special" The waiter tells Bubba to give them two tacos and go light on the flies. Jon and Garfield were utterly shocked by the huge Bubba.

Here, "Spanish" in the fifth panel was replaced by "Texan", "tacos" replaced by "barbecue" and "flies" replaced by "sauce" in the last panel. Bubba was replaced by Leatherface from Sim-Ant in From Beyond the Re-Animated Evil Dead from Tumblr which the author used with permission. Bubba and Leatherface both share the same name, have the huge fat, and do some questionable cooking. The author was surprised that it hasn't been done with Leatherface after that similar joke from [#2199].

While a similar joke [has been made before], I'm surprised that it hasn't been done with Leatherface; aside from sharing the same name, both are huge dudes that do questionable cooking.
