Explanation[edit | edit source]

In the original comic, Jon couldn't feel his legs -- or was pretending he couldn't -- due to compression from Garfield's weight restricting the flow of blood to them. Here, Jon's hands (and his wrists because the viewer can't see the nubs) are amputated and gone.

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

I'm back and I remade #2461 for you all! I honestly won't be surprised if this gets published on the 3rd anniversary of the original's publishing (which is 2019-02-13 for people who hate links).

Original Square Root of Minus Garfield strip: 2009-08-17.

Original strip: 1992-01-02.
