Explanation[edit | edit source]

In the original strip, Jon was unhappy about the light bulbs in his house having burned out, then cheered up when he found out he was the store's millionth customer, and then had his mood soured again upon returning home and realizing he forgot to buy new light bulbs.

For this version, Jon's eyes are edited in the first, second, fifth, and last panels, his "Darn it!" exclamations are replaced with "Great!", his "greatest moment of my life" line is changed to instead say "darnest", and the third and sixth panels are swapped. As a result, Jon is now inexplicably happy about his light bulbs burning out, and his mood is ruined by winning the millionth customer contest.
