The strip this page is about has had its title subject to mojibake errors. These errors are currently being replicated, as the strip's intended title, and by extension this article's as well, is currently unknown due to the mojibake.

Explanation[edit | edit source]

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

At last, a Revolutionary Girl Utena reference on SRoMG (credit to Lubaf for the specific idea though. As I described it on the forums, Revolutionary Girl Utena is a surreal shōjo manga series that deconstructs a lot of tropes of the genre and has a multitude of layers and interpretations, as well as strong LGBT themes. In other words, it ain't Pokémon. And yes, Chu-Chu is a monkey even though he looks like a mouse (most fans in the old days just called him a monkey-mouse).

Credit for the Anthy and Chu-Chu pics goes to the gallery of the FANTASTIC Utena fansite Empty Movement, whose creators I hope see this and get a kick out of it.

Original strip: 1978-06-19.

Transcript[edit | edit source]

Anthy: Hi, there... I'm Anthy Himemiya, and this is my monkey, Chu-Chu.
Chu-Chu: Hi, there. I'm Chu-Chu. I'm a monkey and this is my Rose Bride, Anthy.
Anthy: Our only thought is to confuse you.
Chu-Chu: Feed me.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

Both this strip's title and author's notes were hit by mojibake errors in a later site recoding effort; the original title and author's notes are currently lost to the public due to this.

  • The words hit by the errors themselves suggest these errors should be easy fixes, as all are implied to be characters with diacritic marks of some sort.
