Explanation[edit | edit source]

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

Consider this a sequel of sorts to SRoMG #397. Garfield probably would be less upset to find out he killed Odie than he would be to find out he had destroyed his own food.

Original strip: 1984-05-06.

Transcript[edit | edit source]

{Garfield's bed is sporting is a yellow protuberance topped with a small black sphere, very much resembling Odie's snout}
Garfield: My bed! Odie's sleeping in my bed!
Garfield: This calls for a good stomping!
{Garfield stomps his bed}
SFX: STOMP STOMP STOMP
{Odie appears from around the corner, while Garfield stares at him in shock}
{Garfield wonders what exactly he was stomping}
