Explanation[edit | edit source]

This strip is part of an effort of intentional lazy edits designed to lampoon lazy edits; as such, it reduces the strip down to one panel with one spoken line, one-upping 4160: One Even Better/Worse by appearing to simply be a copy of that strip, even going as far as to reuse the same file as that strip. The author claimed that this was as far as the trend could go, but was proven wrong by 4897: Going deeper into lack of effort which didn't even bother with keeping the text within Garfield aesthetics; the strip that one-upped even that strip, 4898: nothing, was also presumably seeking to one-up this strip with their "effort" due to the nature of the strip buffer.

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

After seeing SRoMG #4160, I knew what I had to do.

This edit took me 0 seconds and truly is the furthest you can take this concept. If anyone does manage to somehow take it further, I tip my hat to them.

Original strip: 2015-01-06.
