Explanation[edit | edit source]

PIXLR is an online image editor somewhat comparable to Photoshop; the author's notes make mention of PIXLR not playing nice with "201_Garfield", the font linked from Square Root of Minus Garfield's Submit page as the recommended font for digital-era strips, in recent years. ("Garfield Sans", the recommended font for handwritten-era strips, does still play nice with PIXLR even as of February 2024.)

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

I'm trying not to do something like my #4410 strip. PIXLR doesn't accept the Garfield font anymore for some reason.

Original strips: 1989-01-01, 1989-10-16, 1992-01-15, 1995-09-29, 1996-09-04, 1997-06-27, 1999-05-17, 2009-10-19.
