Garfield Left Speechless: Comics Without Words is an official Garfield comic collection from 2012. It's a compilation of mostly silent comics (although some have sound effects and minor lines such as "uh-oh"). Interestingly, some of the comics were not originally silent, but had the dialogue removed, and their jokes work just as well. This is an idea we've featured a few times on SRoMG, going as far back as "Silent-Era Garfield" in 2008.

Garfield Left Speechless contains two original comics, one at the start of the book and another at the end. I've never seen these before, so I decided to send them in. I got the scans from archive.org, then edited them together and rotated the panels upright.

Transcript[edit | edit source]

{Garfield is painting a yellow line on the floor to separate it. Odie, who looks shocked, and Jon, who is displeased, are on the opposite side. Garfield's side has the TV set, chair, Pooky, and snacks}
{Odie lounges on a fancy chair, wearing a robe and smoking a pipe. He sits in a room full of parts of various vehicles mounted on the wall akin to hunting trophies}
