Explanation[edit | edit source]

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

For the record, I love it when Mario talks, because he is such a joyous character to listen to, charismatic even. It's why Super Mario Advance is a delight, because the characters talk non-stop, so it's a shame that no other Mario game had Mario talk in this capacity, save for maybe Mario vs. Donkey Kong. However, that does not deny the fact that some people find his constant talking to be overbearing, which this cartoon is meant to highlight.

Still, it's been a long time since my last submission, so I wonder if I still got that touch.

If you want to create your own version of the strip, I have a template here, where the mime is removed, as well as the speech balloons so you can enter your version of the strip.

Original strip: 1997-01-11.
