Explanation[edit | edit source]

In the original strip, Jon was definitely looking at a sunset, indicating that the beautiful sky, colored by the sun, was about to give way to night, and more tellingly, that Garfield woke up in the evening rather than the morning, as was his first guess.

In this edit, Jon is probably looking at the lovely visage of Sunset Shimmer, villain of the first My Little Pony: Equestria Girls movie; given a chance to be friends with the human versions of Twilight Sparkle's best friends, she had to work through the mistrust of the rest of the school in Rainbow Rocks, and was finally the central hero of Friendship Games. She was chosen for this edit because of her name.

The image of her was taken from Rainbow Rocks, from a scene in which the Rainbooms -- a band formed by the other five -- are practicing a song, with her in mid-clap.

The title is a play on 230: Just Look At That Gorgeous Garfield.
