Immediately upon seeing #2451, I knew what my next submitted strip would be: what Garfield would be like if it were intended to be published on the editorial page, rather than the comics one.

Disclaimer: This strip is not intended as anything but a stupid joke. Please do not take it as either the author, Square Root of Minus Garfield, or mezzacotta taking an actual political position vis-à-vis gay marriage, religious fundamentalism, or Garfield's bizarre ability to walk upright.
