3462: Mandela Effect Garfield
Mandela Effect Garfield |
Made by: Muk |
Explanation[edit | edit source]
In the original Garfield strip, Garfield was staring at the mirror, asking who is the fairest one of all. It starts to shatter, and now Garfield looks at the shards on the floor.
This comic was made based on the Mandela effect, which refers to a type of false memory that occurs when many different people incorrectly remember the same thing.
For the record, Pikachu's tail is yellow, and the Berenstain Bears' name was never spelled with an E.
The author writes:[edit | edit source]
This comic is based on the Mandela effect. What color is Pikachu's tail? Isn't it Berenstein Bears? "Mirror, mirror, on the wall", right? Well, about that last one. Apparently, the line in the Disney version, which is by far the most well-known version, is "Magic mirror on the wall..." "Mirror mirror" doesn't make sense and just comes off as redundant.
I also changed the last line to "sharp shards" for two reasons:
- I once misread the comic and thought it said that;
- I like the rhyme and alliteration.
Original strips: 1985-03-28, (main) 1985-03-30, 1985-04-01.
