180: Garfield Cross Section A
Garfield Cross Section A |

Explanation[edit | edit source]
This comic is a parody of 109: April of No Sundays Collection. Instead of condensing a Garfield Sunday comic to make the punchline come sooner, the edit omits a significant chunk of the comic, including the punchline.
The author writes:[edit | edit source]
Of course, the comic strip you're reading exists because Jim Davis just does some outlandish and unintentionally hilarious strips. Any three panels of any Sunday strip could probably be removed from context and be just as hilarious, but the human farce going on before Garfield's hard-to-please eyes is a lot funnier than the rest of the strip.
(I will tell you this: if I ever get rear-ended by someone who turns out to be longer than their car, I'll never pick a fight with him.)
This strip is unedited, except to remove the top and bottom rows of panels. It makes the real surreal humour of Sqrt(-Garf) shine through all the more.
Original strip: 1982-05-09
