Explanation[edit | edit source]

Two strips, each featuring Garfield watching television, were combined.

One is about the winner of an ugly baby pageant. In the original, it was Roberta Saconski, and the final panel had a plea for no pictures to be taken, and a doubt of Garfield's that Roberta will be asked to the prom.

The other show is about an emerging caterpillar turning out to be an Amazonian vampire moth, which proceeds to bite the naturalist's neck.

This edit makes it seem as though someone entered the vampire moth into an ugly baby pageant. It is unknown whether one would qualify; on the one hand, it's an adult moth and not a caterpillar, but on the other, its average lifespan may be under the period of time chosen as the cutoff, based on human development.

As a side note, the originals each had Garfield's legs in a single position throughout, but because they were different from each other, Garfield seems to draw his legs back to himself in the second panel.

A simple remix, not mathematical unfortunately.

Original strips: 2002-09-19, 2002-09-21.
