Explanation[edit | edit source]

This strip attempts to correct the calendar in relation to December 2004 by adding a physical fifth row of days, shading days at the start of the month to denote days not part of the month, and relocating the green-marked day in relation to the actual December 25, 2004. The author, however, failed to also shade in days at the end of the calendar in relation to days not part of the month, thus making the month appear to be 33 days long; the author's notes ironically states 33 days to be the time of something that isn't clear to the average reader. Whether the calendar in this strip can be seen as closer to accurate by 2004 standards depends on how one perceives the calendar; unlike in the earlier 3513: The Expectation of the Distressed Feline Garfield, the calendar in this strip would appear to be correct from a Monday-to-Sunday perspective but not from a Sunday-to-Saturday one (December 1 was a Wednesday in 2004).

The author writes:[edit | edit source]

Now I had originally made this just over a month ago, but I only NOW realised that in the original submission email I got the address wrong... how I didn't notice that for 33 days I have no clue.

Original description:

Me and my perfectionist CinemaSins mind just couldn't stop myself

Also this strip taught me a new word

Original strip: 2004-12-01.

Transcript[edit | edit source]

{Garfield is looking at the calendar}
Garfield: Calendars... they hurry all year long
Garfield: -Until December
Garfield: Then they MOSEY!

Trivia[edit | edit source]

The issue of a 33-day month created by this strip would be addressed exactly a year later in 5309: Garfield plus truly overly accurate calendar.
